NAB briefs BUITEMS students on anti-corruption efforts

QUETTA: Students from the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) visited the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan as part of an anti-corruption awareness campaign.

Assistant Professor Dr. Nagina Gul led the student delegation. NAB Balochistan Director General Mr. Nauman Aslam welcomed them warmly.

The visit followed the NAB Chairman’s vision to promote transparency and civic responsibility among youth.

Students toured key NAB departments. They saw how the bureau processes, investigates, and prosecutes corruption complaints.

Mr. Imran Majeed, Additional Director NAB, gave a detailed session. He explained NAB’s three-part strategy: Awareness, Prevention, and Enforcement.

He also highlighted key parts of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999. Mr. Majeed urged students to uphold ethical values and fight corruption. “You are future leaders. Be ambassadors of integrity,” he said.

Mr. Nauman Aslam also spoke with the students. He reaffirmed NAB’s focus on tackling high-profile corruption and improving prevention efforts. He encouraged youth to build a culture of accountability and strong character.

The visit ended with a commemorative shield presented to Dr. Nagina Gul. Both sides praised the initiative as a meaningful step toward educating youth and promoting a transparent Pakistan.
