ISLAMABAD: Rain and Hailstorm forecast for Islamabad and several parts of Punjab has been issued for Monday, with thunderstorms, strong winds and possible hailstorms expected in some areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD said Islamabad and surrounding areas are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms, which could bring cooler and more pleasant weather.
Several areas of upper and central Punjab may also experience thunderstorms and rain. Strong winds are expected in some locations, while isolated areas could see heavy showers accompanied by hail.
Residents have been advised to remain cautious during severe weather and follow the latest updates issued by the Meteorological Department.

Several parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. The rainfall could result in a drop in temperatures across the upper regions.
The PMD has also forecast light rain and thunderstorms at isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, where partly cloudy conditions are expected to persist.
Meanwhile, most other parts of the country are likely to remain dry, with the rainfall activity largely confined to selected upper, central and northern areas.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to stay updated on changing weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
