SINGAPORE: Pakistan’s Ahmed Zafar Hayat won the overall title at the 35th Singapore Open Senior Amateur Golf Championship 2026, while compatriot Brigadier (retd) Umar Ijaz secured third place to give Pakistan two podium finishes.
Hayat topped the standings with a three-round aggregate of 223. He carded rounds of 73, 74 and 76 to claim the overall championship title.
The championship was held from Sept. 22 to 25 at Singapore’s Seletar Country Club and featured the 35th Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship alongside the 11th Singapore National Senior Amateur Championship, according to the club’s records.
Umar Ijaz finished third with an aggregate score of 229. He recorded rounds of 77, 80 and 72, with his final-round 72 helping him secure a place on the podium.
Pakistan’s third participant, Muhammad Abdullah Manan, finished with a three-round total of 250 after carding 82, 86 and 82.
The Pakistani senior amateur golfers arrived in Singapore on Sept. 20 to participate in the championship, according to reports.
Hayat’s overall victory and Ijaz’s third-place finish gave Pakistan two prominent positions in the competition.
The Pakistan Golf Federation also congratulated the national golfers on their performances.
