KINGSTON: Pakistan’s Muaz Sadaqat became the first Pakistani batter to score a century in the final of a major T20 league as Jamaica Kingsmen posted 170 for nine against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 final.
Opening the innings, Sadaqat produced a remarkable knock of 114 from 58 balls, hitting eight fours and nine sixes to anchor the Kingsmen’s innings.
The century was Sadaqat’s second for Jamaica Kingsmen in the 2026 CPL, making him the first overseas batter to score two centuries in a single edition of the tournament, according to the reported statistics.
Apart from Sadaqat, only Pakistan’s Saim Ayub managed to reach double figures for the Kingsmen, scoring 29 from 22 balls.
Despite Sadaqat’s outstanding century, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons chased down the 171-run target in 16.4 overs for the loss of two wickets, securing their first CPL title.
For the Falcons, Pakistan spinner Sufyan Muqeem was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 14 runs. He was named Player of the Match for his performance.
Sadaqat’s century was one of the standout individual performances of the tournament, but the Falcons’ dominant chase ultimately secured them the CPL championship.
