MASTUNG: The four terrorists were killed and two others injured during an intelligence-based operation in the Killi Siddique Abad area of Mastung, Balochistan, according to details provided regarding the operation.
The operation was launched after intelligence information reportedly identified the presence of a group of six to eight suspected militants associated with the group referred to by authorities as Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH). The intelligence input indicated the presence of prominent members identified as Dr, Gurk and Sajid in Killi Siddique Abad, Killi Abad and surrounding areas.
According to the operational account, seven combat teams were involved in the intelligence-based operation. Five blocking positions were established as part of the plan, while sanitisation activities began at around 9am on September 19.
The operation was aimed at locating and containing the suspected militant group in the area. Security personnel maintained positions around potential movement routes to prevent the suspects from escaping the operational area.
At approximately 1pm on September 19, a group of five to six suspected terrorists was reportedly spotted near Killi Shahnawaz.
An engagement subsequently began in the area, after which the suspects were pursued for approximately three kilometres. Security personnel reportedly succeeded in encircling the group before engaging them with small arms.
According to the supplied account, four terrorists were killed during the operation, while two others sustained injuries. The individuals identified as Dr, Gurk and Sajid were among those reported killed.
The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons, explosive material and other equipment, according to the details provided.
The recovered items reportedly included four sub-machine guns, one rocket-propelled grenade, 10 RPG fuses and rounds, two hand grenades and an STOS device with approximately 200 metres of IED wire.
Security personnel also recovered binoculars, four mobile phones, a Canon camera, two BLA flags and four bandoliers from the operational area.
No Loss Reported Among Security Personnel
