PESHAWAR: Three highly wanted and proclaimed terrorists affiliated with the Norey Gang were killed during an armed encounter with Capital City Police Peshawar in the limits of Phandu Police Station.
The suspects were reportedly present near Akhun Baba Cemetery, allegedly preparing to carry out a serious criminal activity. A police team moved into the area, following which the suspects opened indiscriminate fire after seeing the officers.
Police said officers responded to the firing, resulting in the deaths of all three suspects. The deceased were identified as Gran Wali, son of Sher Ali, and Ali Khan alias Sheena, son of Dawan Jan, both residents of Afghanistan, and Zabihullah, son of Qadeem Khan, a resident of Mohmand Beri Bagh.
The three men were among the most wanted suspects in a case involving the killing of six people. The incident reportedly occurred last year when unidentified attackers opened indiscriminate fire on a vehicle at Jameel Chowk.
The police said investigations into the criminal backgrounds of the deceased suspects are continuing to determine whether they were involved in other reported crimes.
Weapons Recovered From Suspects
During the operation, police officials said they recovered one Kalashnikov and two pistols from the possession of the deceased suspects.

The recovered weapons have been taken into custody as part of the investigation, while police teams are examining the circumstances surrounding the encounter and the suspects’ alleged involvement in previous criminal cases.
