QUETTA: Terrorists launched a planned ambush on a Frontier Corps (FC) patrol and the Assistant Commissioner of Harnai’s squad in the Kuch Moor area of Pishin.
On September 3, at approximately 12:10 PM, an FC detachment from the 134th Wing, led by Major Salahuddin, left the headquarters to establish a new security post at Kuch Moor.
As the convoy reached Kuch Moor, roughly 3 to 4 kilometers past the Ziyart Cross in Pishin, armed attackers set up a blockade and opened direct fire on both the FC unit and the Assistant Commissioner’s accompanying squad.
Security forces responded instantly, initiating a heavy exchange of fire.
The encounter resulted in the martyrdom of 8 security personnel, while 1 personnel sustained injuries.
In the ensuing counter-offensive, security forces neutralized 11 of the attackers.

Intense firing exchanges continue in the area, and a military helicopter has arrived at the location to provide aerial reinforcement and support ongoing operations.
