Honest Conductor Returns Lost Bag After Two Years

NEW DELIHI: In India, an elderly woman recently recovered a bag she lost two years ago on a bus, thanks to the persistent and honest efforts of a dedicated bus conductor.

According to Indian media reports, the woman had forgotten her bag on a bus during a journey in 2024. The bag contained 24,000 Indian rupees in cash as well as vital medical documents.

When bus conductor Raju Wani found the bag, he handed it over to the Washim bus depot administration, but continued his search for the rightful owner independently.

For nearly two years, Wani kept looking for the woman to ensure her money and documents were safely returned.

Eventually, fate reunited them on the very same bus route when the woman boarded the bus where Wani was on duty. Recognizing her immediately, he handed back her bag, complete with the cash and documents.

Overjoyed at recovering her lost belongings after two years, the woman praised the conductor’s honesty and integrity.

As a token of appreciation, she rewarded him with 1,100 Indian rupees. Wani’s commendable act has since received widespread praise on social media, turning the incident into an inspiring example of absolute honesty.
