Pakistan’s Global Standing Rises After US-Iran Deal: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that Pakistan played a key role in facilitating the recent agreement between the United States and Iran. He said the development had enhanced Pakistan’s standing on the global stage.

Addressing the National Assembly, the prime minister said Pakistan enjoys unprecedented respect and recognition around the world. He described the country’s diplomatic achievements as a source of national pride.

Sharif said Pakistan helped facilitate dialogue between Washington and Tehran and contributed to efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions. He said Pakistan’s role in the agreement would be remembered as a significant diplomatic achievement.

He added that the country’s name is being recognized across the world, from East Asia to the Middle East and beyond. He said the international response reflects growing confidence in Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement.

The prime minister described the development as the result of coordinated efforts by Pakistan’s political and military leadership. He said such diplomatic recognition is rare and highlights the country’s growing role in international affairs.
