BYC Drama Exposed: Another Missing Person Identified as Militant

QUETTA: The missing persons narrative promoted by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has been exposed, according to security-linked claims, after another individual listed as “missing” was identified as a militant.

Officials and sources claim that Adil, allegedly presented by BYC as a forcibly disappeared person on November 9, 2024, was in fact an active member of the militant network referred to as “Fitna al Hindustan.”

According to the report, BYC included Adil in its protest demonstrations as a victim of enforced disappearance and blamed state institutions for his alleged abduction.

However, security sources state that Adil had joined the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in 2024, a move reportedly acknowledged by the group itself.

Authorities further claim that Adil was killed during a terrorist activity in Awaran on February 16, 2026.

Officials say these developments further challenge the credibility of BYC’s missing persons narrative and suggest links between the group and militant proxies.

They argue that such narratives mislead young people in Balochistan and serve propaganda objectives of hostile networks.
