Unofficial GB Results: PPP 9, Independents 3, PML-N & MWM 1 Each

Bilawal emphasises politics of reconciliation for national stability

GILGIT-BALTISTAN : As unconfirmed and unofficial results continue to trickle in following the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Assembly elections, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has emerged as the frontrunner, securing 9 seats out of the 14 constituencies counted so far.

 

Polling for the GB Assembly was held on [date not specified, use “Sunday” or omit] with voters turning out in large numbers. From early morning, long queues were witnessed at various polling stations across the region as people rushed to cast their ballots. The polling process continued uninterrupted until 5 pm.

 

According to complete, unconfirmed, and unofficial results received from 14 out of the total 24 seats, the PPP has won 9 seats. Independent candidates have secured 3 seats, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) have won one seat each.

 

The PPP emerged victorious in the following GB Assembly constituencies: GBA-1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 19. The PML-N won in GBA-22. The MWM clinched GBA-8. Independent candidates won in GBA-3, 23, and 24.

 

With results from 10 more seats yet to be officially confirmed, political parties are closely monitoring the count as the final picture of the GB Assembly remains unclear. The election commission has yet to issue a certified tally.
