RAWALPINDI: The chiefs of Pakistan’s armed forces have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, reaffirming their prayers for the country’s peace, prosperity, and unity.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, congratulated the nation on Eid. Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu also conveyed their greetings to the people of Pakistan.
The ISPR added that the armed forces of Pakistan are praying for the nation’s peace, prosperity, and unity on this blessed occasion.
Eid-ul-Adha Observed with Traditional Fervor Nationwide
Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated with religious fervor across the country today, as Muslims offer animal sacrifices in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Abraham.
Thousands of small and large Eid prayer gatherings were held in cities and towns nationwide, including Karachi. Special prayers were offered for the safety, development, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah and the country. Following the Eid prayers, the ritual of animal sacrifice began, fulfilling the tradition associated with Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son in submission to God’s command.
Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Adha is also being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf states.
