ISLAMABAD: Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated with religious fervor across the country today, as Muslims offer animal sacrifices in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Abraham.
Thousands of small and large Eid prayer gatherings were held in cities and towns nationwide, including Karachi. Special prayers were offered for the safety, development, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah and the country. Following the Eid prayers, the ritual of animal sacrifice began, fulfilling the tradition associated with Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son in submission to God’s command.
Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Adha is also being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf states.
