TEHRAN: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Iran on an official visit, where he held a high-level meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, to discuss bilateral relations and the potential resumption of peace talks.
According to Iranian media reports, the two ministers deliberated on a range of issues, including Iran-Pakistan relations, matters of mutual interest, regional peace, and the latest regional situation.
The Iranian Interior Minister praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability. In particular, he appreciated the efforts of Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in resolving the country’s dispute with the United States, according to Iranian media outlets.
No immediate statement was issued by the Pakistani side regarding the talks. The visit is seen as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties between the neighbouring countries.
