ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the success in Operation ‘Marka-e-Haq’ was not only due to the Air Force, Navy, and other armed forces, but also because of timely and accurate intelligence support.
Speaking at a press briefing, he said Pakistan’s intelligence agencies provided critical and timely information during the conflict. He said this intelligence enabled advance planning and preparation. He added that most of the information proved highly accurate, which improved operational outcomes.
Naqvi said drone attacks also played an important role in the conflict. He said the enemy attempted strikes using small and medium-sized drones in multiple areas. He said Pakistan effectively countered these attempts through a strong defensive strategy.
He stated that large-scale drone activity was observed during the period, which created fear and tension in the region. However, he said Pakistan successfully used its air defence systems to neutralize the threat.
The Interior Minister said Pakistan’s strategy remained purely defensive. He said authorities did not target civilian populations or civilian infrastructure at any stage.
He added that during the entire conflict, Pakistan focused on protecting its defence systems, installations, and national security interests. He said all institutions worked in close coordination.
Naqvi said the success of “Operation Marka-e-Haq” reflected national unity, professional competence, and advanced defence capabilities. He said the entire nation takes pride in the achievement.
