ISLAMABAD: Dozens of YouTube channels linked to Pakistan, including one associated with the military’s media wing, have been blocked in India, according to official and media reports.
The action was taken following recent tensions between the two countries.
Officials in Pakistan said the move was aimed at restricting the dissemination of content related to security developments.
Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), had recently released briefings outlining allegations of Indian involvement in destabilizing activities.
The blocking of channels was described by Pakistani officials as an attempt to curb the spread of their narrative.
Indian authorities have not publicly detailed the reasons for the restrictions.
Analysts said the development reflects an intensifying information contest between the two countries, alongside ongoing geopolitical tensions.
The move was also seen as highlighting the growing importance of digital platforms in shaping public perception during regional disputes.
