QUETTA: The three members of the Hazara community were killed and two others injured in a shooting incident carried out by unidentified assailants in the Hazara Ganji area on the outskirts of Quetta.
The injured and the deceased were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment and necessary legal procedures. So far, hospital sources confirmed that two of the injured individuals are currently under treatment.
In this regard, police officials described the attack as a targeted act of violence against members of the Hazara community. The search operation has been launched in the surrounding areas to apprehend those responsible.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan took immediate notice of the incident and directed the Inspector General of Police to submit a detailed report. Meanwhile, Provincial Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured.
He strongly condemned the attack, stating that those involved in targeting innocent civilians would not be spared. He reasserted the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
The incident has raised concerns regarding security in the region, particularly for vulnerable communities.
