Ranchi, India: In the Indian city of Ranchi, during heavy rainfall, a young woman who visited a hospital for treatment was allegedly raped by two doctors.
According to Indian media, a 22-year-old girl from the northern state of Jharkhand came to Ranchi’s hospital for treatment due to a high fever.
The victim, identified as Suniha, said she is a student of IR. On Tuesday, during heavy rain, she developed a high fever.
Since only her mother was at home, she went alone to a nearby private hospital. At that time, only a doctor and a lab technician were present at the hospital.
After checking Suniha’s fever, the doctor sent her to a separate room meant for patients.
During this time, the doctor and lab technician reportedly whispered to each other, after which the lab technician administered a sedative injection to Suniha.
Both allegedly took turns raping her while she was unconscious. When she regained consciousness, Suniha felt severe pain and realized she had been assaulted.
The doctor and technician reportedly tried to silence her, threatening that a video recorded during the assault would be released if she reported the incident.
The police have sent Suniha for a medical examination and have begun searching for the accused doctor and lab technician.
