LAHORE: In a match of the Pakistan Super League, Peshawar Zalmi set a massive target of 247 runs for Karachi Kings.
Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi posted 246 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
For Zalmi, Kusal Perera played a splendid innings, scoring 106 runs off just 52 balls, including four sixes and 14 fours.
Captain Babar Azam also contributed significantly with 87 runs from 53 balls. Towards the end of the innings, Abdul Samad added a quick 40 runs off just 12 balls, hitting four sixes and three fours.
Among the Karachi Kings bowlers, Abbas Afridi managed to take two wickets while conceding 55 runs, while the rest of the bowling attack struggled against Zalmi’s aggressive power hitting.
In their previous match, Peshawar Zalmi had defeated Hyderabad Kings in a thrilling contest, securing victory on the final ball by four wickets.
