QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has declared the advertisement for the Badini Border Terminal project illegal and ordered a fresh, rules-based appointment process for the project director.
Chief Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mullahkhel annulled the original advertisement issued on May 12, 2025, along with a corrigendum dated October 18, 2025.
The court directed authorities to reappoint the project director in accordance with established rules and to constitute a transparent selection committee for the process. It emphasized that all appointments must strictly follow the procedure prescribed by law.
According to the ruling, the advertisement had been issued in violation of Planning Commission regulations.
The court also set aside the tender process linked to the project and ordered a halt to further progress until a project director is appointed through a lawful procedure.

Allowing the constitutional petition, the court declared the advertisement void and directed that copies of the judgment be sent to the Advocate General Balochistan and other relevant authorities.
