LAHORE: Multan Sultans beat Rawalpindies in PSL match by seven wickets. Multan chased down the target of 183 runs successfully in 17th over with seven wickets in hands.
Having won the toss, Multan chose to bowl first.
Rawalpindi made182 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sam Billings smashed a 34 ball-56 runs while Kamran Ghulam was the other handy batter with 35 off 24 balls.
Dian Forrester made a 24 runs knock helping Rawalpindies to set a target which looked decent actually.
Faisal Akram bowled beautifully picking up four wickets for just 31 runs. Arafat Minhas also picked up a couple of wickets bowling pretty economically, conceding just 22 runs in his four overs.
Steve Smith was dismissed early after scoring only five runs from Multan.
However, Sahibzada Farhan continued his magnificent form by smashing a 38 balls-68 runs knock hitting five sixes and four boundaries. Joseph Phillips was the other man who scored a well-made 56 runs off only 30 balls.
Shan Masood also looked promising by scoring a quick-fired 27 runs off just 15 balls. Ashton Turner did a bit of hammering in the end by smashing 27 off just 10 balls he faced.
Multan crossed the line in just 16.2 overs.
