Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s Disciplinary Committee has fined fast bowler Naseem Shah Rs20 million for violating his central contract through a controversial tweet.
According to sources, Naseem Shah appeared before the committee and submitted his reply.
After reviewing the case, the Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of breaching his central contract and imposed a fine of two crore rupees.
Additionally, Naseem Shah’s social media advisor has been removed from his position and placed on the blacklist. The young fast bowler also tendered an apology to the committee regarding the tweet.
It may be recalled that the PCB had earlier issued a show-cause notice to Naseem Shah, directing him to appear before the committee and submit his explanation.
