CHAMAN: A 70-year-old Afghan citizen, Gul Muhammad, who lived in Pakistan for 40 years, has expressed deep gratitude to the Pakistani people and government as he returns to Afghanistan via the Chaman border.

Speaking in Chaman before his departure, Gul Muhammad described his four-decade stay in Pakistan as memorable and peaceful.

He praised the exemplary hospitality shown by the Pakistani people, saying the warmth and kindness he received was unmatched.

He remarked that if Pakistani refugees were to come to Afghanistan, his countrymen might not be able to serve them with the same level of care and hospitality that Pakistan extended to Afghan refugees.

Gul Muhammad further stated that people who speak negatively against Pakistan may have personal grudges, because he personally experienced only positive behavior and cooperation during his long stay in the country.

The 70-year-old Afghan national has now left for his homeland after spending 40 years in Pakistan.
