TEHRAN: Explosions rocked areas around the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran after Israeli airstrikes.
According to diplomatic sources, the Pakistani Embassy is located opposite an Iranian Army (Artesh) centre, while Pakistan’s Ambassador Mudassar Tipu resides in the Pasdaran area, which is associated with the IRGC (Revolutionary Guards).
Diplomatic sources reported that heavy bombardment took place in both areas around 8:00 pm.
However, neither the Pakistani Embassy nor the ambassador’s residence sustained any damage.
A senior diplomat said loud explosions were heard, causing anxiety among the staff.
All personnel remain safe, and the team, including Ambassador Mudassar Tipu along with around 20 diplomatic staff, continues to perform their duties normally in Tehran despite the tense situation.
