Israeli Army Chief warns of iInternal collapse

TEL AVIV: Israeli Army Chief Eyal Zamir has warned that the military could face internal breakdown if urgent reforms are not implemented.

He stated that he is raising “ten red flags,” cautioning that reserve soldiers may no longer be able to continue fighting on the battlefield.

Zamir emphasized that without amendments to laws concerning reservists and other necessary measures, the Israeli army risks falling apart from within.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Israel is facing a shortage of 20,000 soldiers, criticizing the government for initiating the war without proper strategy, sufficient resources, or adequate manpower. Yair Lapid also noted that in his 13 years as part of the security cabinet, he has never heard such a serious warning from an army chief.
