ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, to discuss the rapidly evolving and serious situation in the Middle East and the wider region.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two leaders exchanged views on the escalating regional tensions and their potential implications.
Dar praised Oman’s constructive and principled role in promoting dialogue and de-escalation in the region. He also expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the government and people of Oman following recent attacks in the country.
The deputy prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s position that restraint, immediate de-escalation and a return to diplomacy are essential in the current circumstances.

Dar also reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to support all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
