The tensions in the Middle East have intensified after Iran reportedly launched a new wave of missile strikes targeting Israeli and US-linked sites in the region, including the vicinity of Israel’s main international gateway, Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
The attack is said to be part of a broader military campaign announced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In this regard, Iranian authorities further stated that the attacks were aimed not only at Israeli military infrastructure but also at American military assets in the Middle East.
In this sense, the Israeli authorities have not fully confirmed the extent of the damage at Ben Gurion Airport but acknowledged that missile alerts were triggered across several parts of the country. The security forces and emergency teams were deployed to search for debris and assess the impact of the strikes.
The missile attacks come amid a rapidly escalating confrontation between Iran and Israel, with both sides exchanging military strikes and warnings in recent weeks.
