Pakistani security forces have delivered a “very strong and crushing response” to what officials describe as unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces along the border in the Qila Saifullah and Chaman sectors.
According to security sources, the confrontation began with cross-border firing from the Afghan side, targeting the Customs House and nearby Pakistani posts. In a swift and decisive retaliatory action, conducted under the codename ‘Operation Ghadhbul Haqq’, the Pakistani forces turned their heavy guns towards the positions of the Afghan Taliban.
The retaliatory shelling was so intense that it forced the Afghan Taliban to abandon their posts. Security sources confirmed that the personnel occupying the Customs House on the border fled their positions, leaving behind their equipment. The heavy mortar fire from the Pakistani side also destroyed the old Sartashan post belonging to the Afghan Taliban.
In the Qila Saifullah sector specifically, Pakistani forces took strong action against border violations by targeting and destroying the Adam Khan police station post of the Afghan Taliban. Sources reported that the accurate and heavy fire severely damaged enemy positions and shattered their defensive fence.
The operation was launched after the Afghan Taliban attempted to target the Customs House and adjacent posts. Security sources stated that several Afghan personnel were killed and injured in the exchange, and their main defensive fronts have been razed to the ground.
Security sources emphasized that decisive actions against terrorist elements on the border front are ongoing. Currently, the position of the Pakistani security forces in the Qila Saifullah sector is reported to be very strong, with strict surveillance in place to prevent any possible infiltration.
The local population has expressed satisfaction over the bold action of the security forces, raising slogans in favor of the Pakistan Army. The operation has reinforced the message that any cross-border venture will have disastrous outcomes for the aggressors
