PCB to Appoint Sarfaraz Ahmed as Head Coach of National Test Team

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as the head coach of the national Test team. Sources said an official announcement is expected soon.

Sarfaraz will take charge ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

The head coach position had been vacant for some time. During the recent series against South Africa, Azhar Mahmood served as interim head coach.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series in May. The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2027.

The first Test will start on May 8, followed by the second on May 16.
