India Involved in terrorism in Pakistan: Foreign Office

Islamabad: The Foreign Office of Pakistan has said that  India is involved in terrorism activities in Pakistan and remains engaged in anti-Pakistan propaganda, while Israeli actions pose a threat to regional peace.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated during the weekly media briefing that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha at the invitation of the Amir of Qatar. Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including discussions on Afghanistan-related matters and defense cooperation.

The spokesperson added that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has left for Saudi Arabia to present Pakistan’s position at the extraordinary session of the OIC Executive Committee.

He also strongly condemned and rejected Israel’s decision to designate the West Bank as state land.

The spokesperson noted that this month marks the 19th anniversary of the Samjhauta Express attack, in which more than 70 people lost their lives.

Pakistan condemned the cruelty of the Indian government and the release of the four convicted individuals, demanding that those responsible be brought to justice.

He further stated that Pakistan is not acting against the Afghan people but against terrorists.

Documentary evidence of terrorism has already been presented to the United Nations Security Council.

Qatar’s efforts for Pakistan-Afghanistan reconciliation are welcome, but threatening statements from Afghanistan are regrettable.

Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to counter such threats.

Pakistan also condemned Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir, particularly the martyrdom of three youths in Kishtwar district, and stated that India continues its policy of fake encounters and custodial killings.

Pakistan will continue to awaken the conscience of international human rights organizations and institutions and hold India accountable for its actions.

Commenting on the discussion in the British Parliament regarding violations of Imran Khan’s rights, the spokesperson said Pakistan is a signatory to international human rights conventions, and such statements amount to interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs.

The spokesperson said Pakistan is aware of and taking all possible measures to ensure the security of Pakistani citizens and diplomats in Afghanistan. The emergency OIC meeting’s agenda is focused on Palestine and does not include Afghanistan.

He described Operation Swift Retort as a memorable military event on its anniversary.

The spokesperson stated that Pakistan is aware of the growing defense cooperation between India and Israel and remains vigilant and prepared against threats to peace.

Regarding protests in Israel during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit, he remarked that it is good to see that some conscientious people still exist there.

He added that no structured dialogue like the Doha or Istanbul process is currently taking place on the Afghanistan issue.

Pakistan wants an end to the freedom terrorists enjoy on Afghan soil and calls on the Afghan government to provide full security to all Pakistani diplomats and citizens present there.

Ensuring the protection of Pakistani diplomats in Kabul is the responsibility of the Afghan government.
