MANSEHRA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of martyred Lt. Col. Shehzada Gul Faraz in Mansehra, who embraced martyrdom while leading security forces during an operation against Fitna Al-Khawarij.
The Prime Minister met the mother, widow, children and other family members of the martyr and offered his heartfelt condolences.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
Later, the Prime Minister visited the grave of Lt. Col. Shehzada Gul Faraz, where he laid floral tributes and offered Fateha.
He paid homage to the fallen officer, acknowledging his courage and unwavering commitment to the defense of the country.
The Prime Minister said that Lt. Col. Shehzada Gul Faraz sacrificed his life for the protection of the motherland and set a remarkable example of bravery and leadership.
“The entire nation, including myself, takes pride in our martyrs and their families,” he stated.
He added that the Pakistani nation can never forget the sacrifices rendered by its martyrs and their loved ones.
The Prime Minister assured the family that the government and the Pakistan Army would continue to extend full support and care to them.
He focused on that the sacrifices of the armed forces strengthen the nation’s resolve against terrorism and extremism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the establishment of a Daanish School in Mansehra in the name of Lt. Col. Shehzada Gul Faraz. He said the institution would serve as a lasting tribute to the martyr’s legacy and contribute to quality education for the youth of the area.
Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar, Engineer Amir Muqam, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar, Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Shah Jee Gul Afridi were also present during the visit.
