KARACHI: The private airline flight was cruising normally and had entered Iranian airspace when the situation unfolded.
In this regard, Cabin staff acted promptly, providing first aid and closely monitoring the passenger’s condition. Despite their efforts, the individual’s health did not improve, compelling the captain to assess the matter as critical.
Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport was identified as the most suitable option.
The runway was cleared to ensure a smooth landing, and medical teams equipped with an ambulance were placed on standby.
The affected passenger was swiftly transferred from the aircraft to a nearby medical facility. Initial medical assessments indicated that the passenger had experienced heart-related complications accompanied by breathing difficulties.
Meanwhile, the Aviation officials commended the professionalism and swift decision-making of the pilot and cabin crew, emphasizing that the prompt emergency declaration prevented a potentially serious outcome.
“Timely judgment and coordinated response ensured passenger safety,” an official stated.
After the necessary procedures and clearances were completed, the flight resumed its journey to Islamabad. All other passengers remained safe, and no injuries or financial losses were reported.
