Motorway Police recover stolen medicine truck

SANGHAR: In a swift and successful operation, the Motorway Police South Zone have recovered a stolen Mazda truck loaded with a consignment of medicines worth crores of rupees on the Nawabshah Link Road. The vehicle, belonging to Abbott Company, was hijacked by unknown suspects while en route from Karachi to Sukkur.

According to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, the driver of the vehicle immediately alerted authorities by dialing the emergency helpline 130. Leveraging modern technology, the police team promptly obtained the vehicle’s real-time location through its tracking system.

Acting on the intelligence, a team from Sector Skrand launched an operation and successfully intercepted the vehicle near Qazi Ahmed. The stolen truck and its valuable cargo were recovered without delay. Following the completion of all legal formalities at the scene, the recovered vehicle and goods were handed over to the local police for further investigation.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Motorway Police, Syed Farid Ali, praised the officers involved in the operation for their professionalism and efficiency. He termed the timely action “commendable” and highlighted it as a prime example of the department’s commitment to public safety and security.
