QUETTA: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that Punjab is ready to offer its resources and services to Balochistan.
She made these remarks during a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta, accompanied by her delegation.
She expressed that it would be a source of joy to serve the people of Balochistan. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that Punjab stands ready to provide any resources or services that Balochistan may require.
She noted that Balochistan is facing terrorism instigated by “Fitna-e-Al-Hindustan” (India’s mischief) and “Fitna-e-Al-Khawarij” (Kharijite mischief). Punjab will extend its support and services to Balochistan in operations against this terrorism.
Later, Maryam Nawaz and her delegation arrived at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where ministers and assembly members gave her a warm and enthusiastic welcome.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti informed Maryam Nawaz that both the government and opposition parties in the province are united for peace, law and order, and welfare projects.
Maryam Nawaz praised the spirit of the people of Balochistan and their services to Pakistan as commendable.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day official visit. At Quetta Airport, she was warmly received by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, along with provincial ministers.
She then proceeded to the Governor’s House.
The Punjab Chief Minister also attended a ceremony held at the FC Headquarters. She held a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti as well.
Accompanying Maryam Nawaz were provincial ministers Maryam Aurangzeb and Uzma Bukhari, along with the Chief Secretary of Punjab.
This visit holds significant importance in the context of Balochistan’s current political and security situation.
