ICC Urges Pakistan to Reconsider India Boycott

Dubai: Following Pakistan’s refusal to play against India in the T20 World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued an official statement on the matter.

According to reports in Indian media, Pakistan decided not to participate in the scheduled match against India on February 15 in Colombo.

In response, the ICC has now publicly reacted.

Quoting the ICC statement, Indian media outlets reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision “is not in the best interest of global cricket” and “goes against the spirit of the game.”

The ICC further stated that it hopes Pakistan will reconsider the potential negative consequences of this decision for the country itself and will find an acceptable resolution.

The development comes amid ongoing tensions regarding bilateral cricket ties between the two neighboring nations, with the T20 World Cup match being one of the high-profile fixtures affected.
