Rawalpindi: The Chief of the Turkish Armed Forces visited General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to ISPR, he held a meeting with Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal General Asim Munir.
On the occasion, the esteemed guest was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the regional security situation.
They also discussed opportunities to further promote bilateral cooperation.
Matters of mutual interest were deliberated upon, and discussions covered various other defence and military issues.
Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen close contacts and enhance cooperation between the two countries.
The head of the Turkish Armed Forces also appreciated Field Marshal Asim Munir’s efforts towards improving the economy.
