DI KHAN: An attempt to transport a large cache of weapons from Dera Ismail Khan to Balochistan has been foiled.
According to details, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Dera Ismail Khan revealed that the seized consignment included thousands of Kalashnikov rifles, submachine guns, pistols, ammunition, and explosive materials. He stated that the recovered weapons could have caused large-scale destruction in Balochistan if they had reached their destination.
The DPO further said that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the incident, and efforts will be made to trace both local and external networks linked to the suspects involved.
The DPO said that the arms were concealed in the hidden draws of a car coming from Peshawar.
The weapons carried SMGs, 39 thousand bullets, SMGs, two M4 rfiels.
