PCB offers to host Bangladesh matches in WC

PCB offers to Host Bangladesh matched in WC

DHAKA: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shown willingness to host Bangladesh’s matches for the ICC T20 World Cup following Bangladesh’s decision not to travel to India for the tournament.

According to PCB sources, if venues in Sri Lanka are unavailable, Pakistan is fully prepared to offer its stadiums for hosting the matches.

Officials from the PCB stated that Pakistan has successfully organized major international events in recent years, including the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women’s Qualifiers, and is capable of conducting World Cup matches without any difficulty.

They added that all Pakistani venues are ready to meet the requirements for hosting T20 World Cup fixtures.

It is important to note that Bangladesh has already decided against traveling to India for the World Cup matches due to security concerns raised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

However, the final decision regarding the relocation of Bangladesh’s matches rests with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The sources of the BCCI on the other hand say shifting of venue at this point of time looks almost impossible when the flights tickets and the hotel room’s bookings of the players have already been fixed.

However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has said that the protection of the lives of the Bangladeshi players will be prioritized more than anything else.
