Three bodies recovered from Harnai mountains identified

Quetta: Authorities have identified three out of four bodies discovered in a mountainous region of Balochistan’s Harnai district.

According to the Harnai district administration, the bodies of four unknown individuals were found in a hilly area near Zinda Pir, approximately 22 kilometers from the city.

Officials stated that the victims bore gunshot wounds on their bodies. The identified deceased have been named as Noor Muhammad, resident of Babar Kach Kot Mandi in Sibi district; Jumma Khan, resident of Koriak Spin Tangi in Harnai district; and Muhammad Rasool.

The identity of the fourth body remains unknown. After completing necessary procedures at the hospital, the bodies have been placed in the mortuary.

It is worth mentioning that several murder cases have taken place in some deserted areas of Balochistan in the past many years.

Most of such crime incidents take place on the bases of personal enmity or tribal clashes.

A series of crime incidents is also recorded in the name of honour.

Often some tortured or bullet-riddled bodies of people are found in desolate places of Balochistan.

Such brutality and lawlessness raise questions on the situation of law-and-order and the role of the police and the other concerning departments.

One of the most unfortunate aspects of the murder incidents occurring in Balochistan is, that they are carried out by the tribals and the Jirgas across the province themselves.

Such incidents raise deprivation and uncertainty among the people if the justice is not served through the policing and the judiciary system.

A harsh and credible system of law-and-order has become mandatory in order to obstruct the brutal killing and make the people feel afraid of the law system. A justice delayed should go down as justice denied.
