Afghanistan Refuses Pakistan’s Humanitarian Aid

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Thursday issued a series of statements clarifying its position on regional and international issues.

A relief convoy for the Afghan people was dispatched by Pakistan, the FO spokesperson said. However, Afghanistan was not ready to receive the aid.

The spokesperson described Prime Minister’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin as positive. Reports of delays in the meeting circulated earlier in Indian media, which the FO called “hate-driven propaganda.” Indian news agencies later deleted tweets regarding the alleged delay.

On regional water issues, the FO accused India of using water as a weapon.

The FO also denied Reuters’ report linking the Pakistani Chief of Defence Forces’ visit to the United States to any official decision, stating that no confirmed information is available regarding the trip.

Regarding Gaza, the FO said Pakistan has made no autonomous decision to deploy forces. It emphasized that any consultations on the matter are ongoing with global capitals.

The FO condemned false reports by the Jerusalem Post on the Bondi Beach incident. It said India’s intelligence agency, RAW, operates in a coordinated manner across multiple regions. Investigations into RAW’s possible involvement in the Bondi Beach attack will be conducted by Australian authorities.

Official channels exist for Pakistan-Afghanistan communication. The FO noted that dialogue could have been possible if Afghan representatives had attended the Tehran meeting.

Pakistan expressed concerns over private investment in India’s nuclear sector, citing past record and material theft incidents as alarming.

On Palestine, the FO stressed that the issue remains central to the OIC, the Islamic world, and the UN Security Council.

Pakistan reaffirmed ongoing defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia, including the bilateral defense agreement.
