RAJANPUR: Following the recent abduction of passengers in Ghotki, Punjab and Sindh police conducted a joint operation against the criminals.
According to sources, after the incident in Kashmore where passengers were kidnapped from a bus, the joint police teams carried out a coordinated operation in Kacha Karachi area of Ghotki.
As a result, three kidnappers were killed. Two of the deceased have been identified as Lala Sukhani and Sheru.
It is reported that on the night between Monday and Tuesday, the kidnappers attacked a bus near Kashmore Interchange and abducted 14 passengers.
Subsequent police action successfully rescued the passengers.
During today’s joint operation, the police also destroyed the hideouts of the criminals.
It is worth mentioning that the robber-gangs have been carrying out the kidnapping of not only the passengers but also innocent civilians by using honey-trap and temptation etc.
Although, the police has launched several operations eliminating many members of high-profile robber-gangs , but the presence of many more gangs and carrying out intense crimes in these areas still remains as a big challenge.
The robber make reside in public residential areas and carry out crimes by using tactics like making checkpoints, snap checking in the desolated areas.
So it is difficult to target them by using technology like drone cameras and drone attacks.
However, the growing law-and-order challenges after the kidnapping incidents of passengers have raised concerns among the civilians and the transporters now.
The people have asked for stern and decisive actions against the kidnappers and the looters operating in theses areas to privide the public with the feeling of safety and protection.
