Driver, Three Women Injured as Peshawar BRT Bus Crashes Into Barrier

PESHAWAR: A Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus was involved in a serious accident on Monday, leaving the driver and three women injured.

According to initial reports, the driver suffered a health issue, after which the bus lost control and struck the BRT lane barrier. The incident occurred near Islamia College Peshawar.

Rescue officials said the bus hit the railing but all passengers remained safe. The injured were taken to Khyber Teaching Hospital.

A spokesperson for the hospital said three women and the driver received immediate treatment in the emergency department. Medical staff provided timely first aid, and all injuries were minor.

The duty manager, Umar Iqbal, confirmed that the injured were discharged after treatment.
