ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured a sweeping victory in the recent by-elections, winning 6 National Assembly seats and 6 out of 7 Provincial Assembly seats.
Most constituencies previously held by PTI were taken over by PML-N candidates.
PML-N claimed all six National Assembly seats, while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) managed to win only one seat in the Provincial Assembly.
National Assembly Results
NA-18 Haripur – Major Upset
The most surprising result came from NA-18 Haripur, where the PTI-backed independent candidate Sheharnaz lost by 43,776 votes. According to unofficial results, PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan won with 163,996 votes, while Sheharnaz Umar Ayub secured 120,220 votes. Sheharnaz is the wife of former opposition leader Umar Ayub Khan, whose seat became vacant after his disqualification in the May 9 case.
NA-129 Lahore
All 334 polling stations reported that PML-N’s Hafiz Mian Muhammad Nauman led the race with 63,441 votes, while the PTI-backed independent candidate Arsalan Ahmed stood second with 29,099 votes. This seat became vacant after the death of PTI’s Mian Azhar.
NA-185 DG Khan
PML-N’s Mehmood Qadir Khan won the NA-185 DG Khan-2 by-election with 82,416 votes. PPP’s Dost Muhammad Khosa came second with 49,262 votes. The seat was vacated after PTI’s Zartaj Gul was disqualified.
NA-143 Sahiwal
In NA-143 Sahiwal-3, PML-N’s Muhammad Tufail Jutt secured victory with 136,223 votes, while independent candidate Zarrar Akbar Chaudhry received only 13,220 votes. The seat was previously held by PTI’s Hassan Nawaz before his disqualification.
NA-104 Faisalabad
PML-N’s Danial Ahmed won NA-104 Faisalabad-10 with 52,791 votes. Independent candidate Rana Adnan Javed trailed with 19,262 votes.
NA-96 Faisalabad
Unofficial results from all 345 polling stations show that PML-N’s Bilal Badr Chaudhry secured the highest number of votes, 93,009. He is the brother of Minister of State Talal Chaudhry.

Provincial Assembly Results
PP-87 Mianwali
In PP-87 Mianwali, PML-N’s Ali Haider Noor Khan Niazi won with 67,986 votes. Independent candidate Muhammad Ayaz Khan Niazi came second with 3,310 votes. The seat previously belonged to former opposition leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhacher.
PP-98 Faisalabad
PML-N’s Azad Ali Tabassum led PP-98 Faisalabad-1 with 44,388 votes. Independent candidate Muhammad Ajmal stood second with 35,245 votes.
PP-115 Faisalabad
In PP-115 Faisalabad-18, PML-N’s Muhammad Tahir Pervaiz won with 49,049 votes, while independent candidate Muhammad Asghar managed 18,098 votes.
PP-116 Faisalabad
All 190 polling stations in PP-116 Faisalabad-19 confirmed PML-N’s Ahmed Shehryar as the winner with 48,824 votes. Independent candidate Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser received 11,429 votes. Ahmed Shehryar is the son-in-law of Prime Minister’s adviser Rana Sanaullah. The seat became vacant after PTI’s Ismail Sila was disqualified.
PP-203 Sahiwal
PML-N’s Muhammad Hanif secured victory in PP-203 Sahiwal-6 with 46,900 votes. Independent candidate Falak Sher collected 10,895 votes.
PP-73 Sargodha
PML-N’s Sultan Ali Ranjha won PP-73 Sargodha with 71,770 votes, defeating independent candidate Mehr Mohsin Raza, who received 12,970 votes.
The only setback for PML-N came in PP-269 Muzaffargarh-2, where PPP’s Mian Alamdar Abbas Qureshi won the seat with 55,611 votes.
