According to the load management schedule, the gas in Quetta and surrounding is to remain closed from 12:00 am to 5: 00 am.

The gas pipeline in Mach area was exploded with a blast by the Fitna al Hindustan militants a couple of days earlier.

The Balochistan High Court also slammed and SSGC officials on account of the closure of the gas supply to Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

The acting Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, during the hearing a petition on the gas-supply suspension in Quetta, said that why a proceeding should not be carried out against the officials of the SSGC.

However, the SSGC demanded more time for the restoration of the gas-supply in Quetta.

The Balochistan High Court has allowed some more time to the SSGC officials to ensure a smooth gas-supply to Quetta.

According to the SSGC officials, the maintenance work of the gas pipeline in Mach is in progress now.

However, they have officially issued the schedule of the closure of the gas-supply from 12: 00 am to 5 am.

Gas supply in parts of Balochistan was suspended after a high-pressure Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) pipeline ruptured near Mach in Kachhi district.

The breakdown affected areas including Quetta, Pishin, Kuchlak, Ziarat, Mastung, Kalat, and Mangocher.

SSGC said it was providing limited supply through a smaller 12-inch line to some suburban parts of Quetta as a temporary fix.

Repair teams have been dispatched to the site, but no timeline for full restoration has been confirmed
