QUETTA : An order has been issued to stop the salaries of Levies personnel who have remained absent from duty.
In Balochistan, Levies officers who failed to report to their respective district police offices even after their merger into the police force will now face strict disciplinary action.
According to a directive issued by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, the salaries of all such absentee officers must be halted immediately.
Officials said that despite repeated instructions, several personnel have not reported to assume their duties, which has begun to affect departmental performance.
Authorities stated that this decision has been taken to maintain discipline and ensure the smooth functioning of the force.
It is worth mentioning that the Levies Force in 8 District was integrated in to the Police Force a few weeks ago.
The decision has been made keeping in view the law-and-order and the security situation on Balochistan.
