WAZIRISTAN: A major militant attack foiled on the Cadet College WANA by the armed forces.
According to the security officials, a similar attack to the APS was aimed on the Cadet College WANA.
A suicide attack was launched on the gate of entrance of the Cadet College WANA and the rest if the Khawarij attempted a forced entry, however,the armed forces launched attack on the militants and foiled the militant attack.
According to the sources, the operation is in process and so far, four to five militants have been killed.
It is worth noting that Cadet College Wana was established at the request of the local tribes.
The institution provides education to a large number of students from the Mehsud and Wazir tribes.
This college has been playing a vital role in offering quality education to the youth of the region, and many of its graduates are now serving in key and prestigious positions across the country.
The militants once again attempted to repeat the brutality witnessed in the Army Public School tragedy, but their malicious plan was successfully thwarted.
These extremists were as ruthless in 2014 during the APS attack as they are today.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a clearance operation.\
On the other hand, the Inter Service Public Relations, ISPR has said that as many as 20 Fitna al Khawarij militants have been killed in the last two days by the forces.
According to the security officials, in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, an encounter took place between the armed forces and the Fitna al Khawarij.
The forces successfully targeted 8 Fitna al Khawarij militants.
In anther encounter between the security forces and the Khawarij in the area of Dara Adam khel, another 12 Fitna al Khawarij militants were killed in the operation.
The security officials vow that the operation will continue until the presence of the last militant in Waziristan.
