SIBI: The serious concerns have been raised once again about the motives of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The group, which claims to represent the interests of the Baloch people, has been accused of targeting innocent civilians after failing to confront security forces directly.
The BLA, unable to withstand the operational strength of security forces, has increasingly turned its aggression towards unarmed and defenseless individuals, including government officials.
In this regard, the several innocent individuals lost their lives or sustained injuries in what officials described as a cowardly terrorist act.
In addition, the victims included public servants and civilians who were performing their routine duties.
“This tragic event mentions once again that the BLA is not a representative of the Baloch people but an enemy of peace in the region,” said a senior official speaking on condition of anonymity. “Those who target innocent Baloch citizens cannot claim to fight for their rights.”
Furthermore, the citizens and tribal elders across Balochistan have also expressed grief and anger over the targeting of their own people, demanding that such groups be held accountable for their crimes.
In this sense, the attack has prompted renewed calls for unity among the people of Balochistan to stand against extremist violence and to support ongoing efforts for peace, development, and stability in the province.
