QUETTA: The Health department of Balochistan has terminated 27 employees from various districts on accounts of their excessive absence from their respective duties.
The sources of Balochistan health department claim that in the first round of the crackdown across the province, 27 employees have been fired from their jobs for remaining absent from their work-places.
The spokesperson of the health department Mujeeb ur Rehman has said that on the directives of the Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sargfaraz Bugti and the Health Minister Bakht Kakar, a crackdown has been launched against the absentees for a longer period of time from the health department.
In the first round, 20 employees from District Kohlu, two from Duki, two from Musa khel and four health department’s employees from Awaran have been fried from the job.
The terminated employees were absent from their offices for a long time. They were issued notice to be present on their jobs on numerous occasions.
However, they have been terminated from their jobs on account of their excessive absence from their jobs under Beda Act 2011.
The spokesperson reaffirmed that no leniency will be shown upon the absence of the Balochistan’s employees.
It is worth mentioning that the Balochistan government aims to carry out transparency and merit in all public sectors including the health department.
The improvement of infrastructure, accountability and the evaluation of performance remains as the key priority of the Balochistan government.
More strict measures are expected to be taken by the different sector in order to provide the people of Balochistan with quality of services and ensuring the deployment of worthy and eligible people in various sectors.
