Jaffar Express held in Jacobabad after attack

Quetta — After a bomb detonated on the railway track near Dera Murad Jamali this evening, the Jaffar Express traveling from Peshawar to Quetta was halted at Jacobabad railway station.

According to a news agency report, the decision to stop the train was taken because of damage to the track.

During the incident, a guard posted at the gate adjacent to the track, Imdad son of Allah Rakhio, was killed, and the track and other rail infrastructure sustained damage.

Passengers bound for Quetta are to be transferred to Sibi, and departures of the Chaman Mail have also been suspended.

The report added that the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which the story described as receiving support from India, has attacked the Jaffar Express several times in recent months.

It says the campaign began in March when BLA militants— backed by Indian sponsors—seized the train; security forces later killed 35 militants, while 33 passengers were reportedly killed during that episode.

Since then, militants have repeatedly targeted trains and rail infrastructure.

The account confirmed, these attacks, funded and supported via RAW from Afghanistan, aim to strike not only security forces but also civilians and development projects — and that Pakistan’s armed forces, together with patriotic Baloch communities, are responding firmly to these extremist actions.

The armed forces, with the help of people of Balochistan, have launched massive attacks on the hideouts and the havens of Indian-sponsored militants in Balochistan.

Some thousands of RAW-funded militants have been eliminated in successful military operations in these areas.

The security forces have vowed to root out the militancy from Balochistan’s soil and bring peace and development in the province.

The tribes of Balochistan too, want development, progress, employment and stability in their province.
