Saudi Shura Council delegation arrives in Islamabad to strengthen bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: The high-level parliamentary delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by Chairman of the Shura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, arrived in Islamabad at the special invitation of Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The visit indicates the longstanding and fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia a bond rooted in shared faith, mutual respect, and a collective vision for peace and prosperity in the region.

Furthermore, the speaker Ayaz Sadiq have given a warm welcome to Dr. Al-Sheikh and his delegation upon their arrival at the Parliament House.

In this sense, the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki was also present on the occasion.

In this sense, the Saudi delegation will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.

The discussions will focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation, exploring avenues for economic and social collaboration, and increasing coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Moreover, the Speaker focused on the fact that the visit would further solidify the historical partnership between the two nations.

He added that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Saudi Arabia, which has always stood by Pakistan in times of need.

Meanwhile, the government officials described the visit as a step forward in advancing parliamentary diplomacy and strengthening greater collaboration between the legislative bodies of both countries.
